Like humans, our pet's health needs change at the various stages of life. Our senior pets (seven years of age and older) require annual physical exams, comprehensive blood profiling, and other tests to help detect many of the illnesses common to senior pets. The doctors and staff at Animal Hospital, Inc., are dedicated to providing your pet with the highest level of care throughout all stages of life.
The next time your senior pet comes in, please ask us about our Senior Wellness Package! This is a package deal that we're able to offer to healthy senior pets, as a special from the lab that does our diagnostic testing.
The Senior Wellness Package includes:
- Complete physical exam
- Blood pressure screening
- Urinalysis, including urine microalbumin level
- Bloodwork, including a chemistry panel, complete blood count, and total thyroid level
- Fecal check for intestinal parasites
- Heartworm test
- Two screening radiographs (chest or abdomen)
- A written report of all physical exam findings and labwork results, including recommendations for further care for your pet
These screening tests allow our doctors earlier disease intervention, resulting in better treatment success of many of the "senior illnesses." In conjunction with your pet's routine vaccinations and heartworm and flea prevention, our senior wellness program will enable them to live longer, healthier lives.
By bundling these services and lab tests in a package, we are able to offer a savings of over $150. Please call today to schedule a Senior Wellness Visit for your older cat or dog!
If we complete a Senior Wellness Package for your pet and perform a dental cleaning with any needed dental treatment, you will receive a $25 discount off the cost of the dental procedure if scheduled within 2 months of the Package.
