Puppy Pre-School 4 Week Sessions (Puppies 6-14 Weeks Old) (Instructor – Kitten Stapel)
Must have at least 6 puppies for a class.
Puppy Pre-School will Address the Following Topics:
• Appropriate play with other puppies, family
members & friends
• Socialization to surroundings, noise &
activities
• Crate training & house breaking
• Understanding classical & operant
conditioning
• Understanding why puppies do what they do
• The importance of obedience training
• Handling and practice for grooming, toenail
trims, ear cleaning, etc
• Basic commands - sit & down
• Introduction to collar & leash
Tuesday Classes
• September 18-November 6
Saturday Classes
• September 8-October 27
Puppy Class 8 Week Sessions (6 Months and Younger) (Instructor – Kitten Stapel)
Puppy Obedience Class will Address the Following Topics:
• Appropriate play with other puppies, family members & friends
• Socialization to surroundings, noise & activities
• Crate training & house breaking
• Understanding classical & operant conditioning
• Understanding why puppies do what they do
• The importance of obedience training
• Handling and practice for grooming, toenail trims, ear cleaning, etc
• Basic commands - sit & down

Basic Class 6 Week Sessions (6 Months and Older) (Instructor – Delores Norsic)
Basic Obedience Class will Address the Following Topics:
• Obedience lesson objectives are similar to
those listed for the puppy obedience
• Special instruction may be given to work on
individual behavorial problems
• Encourage a more rewarding relationship
between you & your pet
• September 10 - October 15
• October 29 - December 3
Intermediate & Advanced Class 6 Week Sessions (Instructor – Delores Norsic)
Mastered Basic Obedience Skills - Must be able to work off a leash at this level.
Intermediate & Advanced Obedience Classes include the following:
• Increase consistency, refine performance & improve off-leash work
• May include training for Competitive obedience ring at all levels or similar exercises for you to enjoy with your pet
Delores works at the individual level appropriate for your obedience goals and concerns in mind.
Mondays 7:30 – 8:30PM
• September 10 - October 15
• October 29 - December 3

American Kennel Club Guidelines Followed
Participant Requirements For this 8-Week Course Include:
• Basic puppy obedience skills
• Sit and down stays with distractions
• Controlled walk on a loose leash
• Greeting other dogs & people
• Tolerating familiar noise & a variety of distractions
• Coming when called from up to 10 feet away
• Supervised separation-the dog should remain calm when the owner leaves the room & not demand attention from the person they are left with
• Tolerating light grooming, touching ears & feet
• General health & grooming condition. The dog should be clean, brushed, toe nails trimmed,
Testing of the above items will take place the last week of class.
6-foot leads, a brush, some treats & a favorite toy or 2 are required.
No pinch (prong) collars permitted.
For an additional fee, you may apply to AKC for a certificate upon successful completion of the test.
