WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU HAVE PROOF OF VACCINATION ON FILE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. WE WILL TURN AWAY ANIMALS THAT ARE NOT CURRENT ON VACCINATIONS.
You may have your veterinarian confirm the vaccinations in writing, fax, or telephone.
Intestinal parasite screening is required on all cats, dogs, and ferrets in order to protect the other animals and humans. A fecal exam will be performed at the owner’s expense if one has no been done within the last year. If your pet tests positive or we see parasites, we reserve the right to de-worm your pet at your expense.
Your pet’s skin will be checked for external parasites shortly after arrival. If fleas are found, your pet will be given a dose of Capstar. This is a very safe medication that kills all of the adult fleas on the pet for 24 hours. Your pet will also be treated with a topical flea medication like Frontline or Revolution or Ovitrol flea spray. You will be notified at pick-up and the cost of such a treatment will be added to your invoice.
ADDITIONAL BOARDING POLICIES:
NEW BOARDING CLIENTS must leave a 50% deposit. This deposit may be paid either at drop-off during non-peak boarding times or charged to a credit card at the time of reservation scheduling during peak times. The deposit will be applied toward the boarding fee, but is not refundable unless a reasonable attempt was made by the client to cancel the reservation at least 24 hours beforehand. If you would like to tour our boarding facility, we ask that you arrange this well in advance of your pet’s visit. Drop-off times can be very busy and we want our staff to be able to spend time answering all of your questions.
PERSONAL ITEMS are best left at home. We maintain a plentiful supply of everything your pet needs during his or her stay with us. If there is a favorite toy that you want to leave, feel free to check with our staff to determine that the item meets our safety requirements.
MEDICATIONS can be administered for an extra charge. If your pet has diabetes mellitus or another medical condition that needs close monitoring, please ask us about Special Needs Boarding. Please bring all medications in their original containers. If your pet requires treatment during off hours you may be charged an additional fee to have medical personnel make special trips to the hospital. Be sure to bring enough medication for your pet’s entire stay.
