Deluxe Boarding
Have you ever postponed planning a vacation because you would miss your pet? Have you been miserable instead of relaxed on vacation because you felt guilty about leaving your dog or cat or guinea pig? We know how hard it is to go out of town and leave your best friend behind. Our boarding facility offers several kinds of accommodations for your pets. Our dog boarding area features ten special suites, each decorated in a different fun theme. We have the Presidential Suite, the Beach Suite, the China Suite, the Rome Suite, the Paris Suite, the New Yorker Suite, the Paws Vegas Suite and the duplex Cabin in the Woods Suite. Dog that stay in these accommodations can be viewed on our DVR remote access online. If you have several dogs, they can stay in one suite and 3 outdoor yard times are included in the package. The yards are outdoor areas that are fenced next to the building. Play times and walks are also an option. The suites are in great demand so make your reservations early. The standard boarding runs are 8 feet by 4 feet and feature a lift door that opens to a private enclosure when it is potty time. For smaller dogs there are the cozy economic standard cages. You may order ala carte brushing, yard time, playtime, toys and special treats like breakfast- in- bed pancakes. Blankets and cots are provided for all of the boarding areas.
Cats do not appreciate the undignified activities and noises of dogs, so they have their own boarding area on the upper level. It features natural lighting from glass block windows, the option of multiple unit accommodations and if you have several cats they can have adjoining rooms. Lola, the resident blue and gold macaw, provides live entertainment and the whole area has a large view of the hospital lobby and pond. Most of the pocket pets and small birds share this area. Larger birds often stay in the offices of staff members for individual attention and privacy. Birds, reptiles and pocket pets are often kept in their own cages from home to make them feel more secure.
If your pet has a medical condition like diabetes, kidney disease, or Cushing’s disease, or is very old, we recommend Special Needs Boarding. These animals are monitored even more closely than our regular boarders by our technicians and aides to ensure they continue to eat well remain healthy. Diabetics frequently need regular insulin injections and blood glucose checks, and pets with renal disease often require fluid injections to support kidney function and maintain adequate hydration.
